When the manual says park 1 has a "lower weighting" of the frequencies , what does that actually mean ? I have been assuming that somehow the lower frequencies are relied on more prominently , which in theory should mean more depth potential .....is this correct ?

Lower weighted freqs used moreso. Yea.
But depth, could be worse or better.

Actually higher freq weighting will yield more depth in higher(est) mineralized soil. There will be a break point. (Conductivity of object doesn't seem to matter much).
Or could be said like this. Higher freqs may tend to call nonferrous actually nonferrous where lower freqs could call a somewhat deeper nonferrous actually ferrous.

In a related subject here.
Folks out west using Equinox.
Seems even the Nox is giving a little more depth (calling nonferrous actually nonferrous) vs the 2 mighty detectors called the CTX and Etrac.
