There is an older ball field near me in a pretty bad section of town, but I figured a bright sunny Sunday morning, no one will bother me and set to hunting. My first find was a clad quarter then a dime, then another dime. My experience is this is normally penny, penny, trash...

Anyway, so this park appears to either never have been hunted or hunted with a cheap detector. The majority of my finds were 4-6 inches. Not too many zincolns and very minimal trash. In about 950 square feet I found 20 pennies, 6 dimes and 6 quarters... one of which is noted below as my silver. I have barely scratched this location... I think it will be my new favorite.

This silver quarter was about 8 inches.

Any out again today for about three hours. Found ANOTHER silver quarter... this is a standing liberty, dated 1920!

I am willing to bet silver dimes are just out of my reach!

Don't forget to keep looking over your shoulder. You're starting to develop a pattern.

Great job on the Standing Liberty with a date! I'd love to see a picture. Standing Liberty quarters are not easy to find. I've only found one. That's a great find.

When I gave the date... the didn’t necessarily mean it was perfect. All you can make out is the 0 and the tail of the 2. Probably not what you were expecting to see, but here it is. My first standing liberty as an adult. I found all kinds of stuff as a kid with a big blue box whites... but don’t remember half of it...
