Hit another tot lot this morning for a couple of hours. Didn't get to finish. I had to go back and pick up my kid from baseball camp & I had also run out of battery. Found .87 cents in clad and a possible diamond stud earring. 
If its real, its close to 1/2 carat weight by the size. I am going to have it checked this weekend. I hope its real! 
Update: Finished the tot lots at this park - 5 hours work over 3 days. $2.32 in clad, a small broken pice of gold chain from a child's bracelet, and a sliver crucifix were among the good stuff! I
