So on the Minelab What's New site for the update it says:

"This new 4 kHz frequency enhances the detection of large deep targets, particularly those found in parts of Asia."

What does that mean and how does it impact us? What "large deep targets" are they talking about? Are we talking landmines in Asia?

I'm trying to understand the implications for those of us coin and relic hunters, but this is totally confusing. Many people are talking about the 4kHz being ideal for deep silver but Minelab's description doesn't indicate it was designed for silver coins but for "large deep targets".

I haven't used it for coins yet but i did try it out for glacial copper (float copper) and it impressed me for large deep targets. My biggest target was 10 X 12 roughly hunk of copper at over 30 inches. 31 pounds. So it should be good for relics i would think. Multi frequency wouldn't pick it up at all.
