Forum member Kwo123 has been visiting my area and renewed my interest in a local park that I hadn't paid much attention to in the past. Yesterday I dug a Barber dime.

I had some time this afternoon and went out to it again. Sometimes the stars align and I'm able to get over some sweet signals....

My first gold signet ring! Solid 13 on the Equinox. The gold ring and the Buffalo nickel sounded identical. Acid tested at 14K. Only 3 grams, but really beautiful.

Good looking 1897 Barber half and (my third ever) seated dime.

Really fun hunt. Probably my best ever!

Thanks for looking!

Wow, very nice finds indeed !!!!

That park must obviously must be an area that goes way back, I bet you'll likely be hunting there again

Wow! That's an incredible hunt! The ring is a beauty, and the monogram style implies it's been there for quite a while! The silver is awesome too. It still amazes me how a half dollar gets lost - imagine that big ol' silver rolling out of someone's pocket unnoticed, then sitting on the ground long enough to get buried without anyone ever seeing it and picking it up! No wonder I've only ever found one - and not even silver, let alone a Barber! Great hunting!!

I've been lucky enough to get over quite a few halves in my 3 years of detecting. This is my 4th Barber half. Totally thrilled!

The ring is one of my new favorite finds. I do think its quite old. It has a first name and the letter B or possibly a 13 scratched inside a crude heart. I'd like to think its from 1913, but will never know. It fits my pinky finger. I'll wear it for a while as a conversation piece.

I agree these are awesome finds. Wish the ground around where I live wasn’t as hard as rock this time of year. Would be nice to try to find some coins/ring as nice as yours.

I’m surprised you had to have a “renewed” interest in this park. It seems to be a killer location! Great finds!
