I had a rare opportunity to hunt a historic house in town that I've been eying for a long time, and although I didn't find anything great I didn't come away empty-handed either. Best find was a tiny (dime-sized) sterling silver pin that was a prize in a public school music education contest from 1927. Also found a child's toy watch probably from the 1930s, a dateless Buff only a couple of inches deep, a 1919 Lincoln, and a 1967 Japanese 100 yen coin near the surface! The rest was clad and lots and lots of trash. I've got to believe that this property has been hunted before, but who knows. Will definitely be returning in hopes of finding some deeper targets.
