New to the group !!

Hi everyone from NE Ohio. I just wanted to introduce myself Mike.
I own a White's 5900/Di Pro sl that I purchased in 1990. I have been detecting off and on since then. More off than on because I was working. Now that I'm retired I'm going to give it "heck" !! I always loved metal detecting, just didn't have much time. But, If I get out, I can go for 3 hrs at a crack, just love it.
If you can give me your input on the Blue Max coil, I'd appreciate it. I'm thinking about getting one for trashy areas. White's sells on for $150 which is too high for me.......Does anyone have a used one to sell?
Thanks everyone. I'm looking forward to being on this forum. Mike

Welcome Mike, Usually find them for under 100. I have seen them as little as 50 bucks. Check Ebay often, once twice a day, have ebay email you when one is posted then follow it, price depends on who is watching it and how much they want it.
Funny..After all these years that 5900 is still an excellent detector, a little heavy but as good or better then most today.
