Store would not let me have Coinstar rejects

Well, Coinstar has no legal right to them, because that would encourage them to reject more coins and profit from it. You can't claim a coin isn't authentic and then profit from that action because the coin is authentic.

The store has no legal right to them, either. The best they can pull is to claim they're going to hold them in their lost and found until someone claims them. Obviously, no one can claim them without proof of ownership, so they might be able to eventually keep the paltry amount.

Legally, they may be correct, but I will still check the one in my grocery store until I am told not to.
I check whenever I'm walking by. I know one of the managers and he said they don't monitor it. He told me there is a guy that checks it sometimes three times a day. And I know a woman who also checks it. I did find a coin from Singapore a few weeks ago.

I want to come clean here I was at wal-mart and spotted a quarter on the floor by the checkouts . I pick it off the floor and pocketed it and this was not the first time I have done this ,there I feel better now . sube

Imagine the look on an employes face, if you went up to one of them and said, "I found this quarter on the floor, and I want to make sure it gets back to the rightful owner".
