I found this at a home that dates back to the early 1800's and was told on another forum that this was a Victorian pressed steel shoe buckle. Wow I thought at the time. But after searching the web I am beginning to wonder. I have seen several that look a lot like it but this one doesn't seem to have the same quality in some ways. Maybe it's just me but it looks like it was made at a later time and may be a shoe clasp. What do you think?
