I'm wondering what a fair price is for a 3 year old AT Pro with wired headphones? Original box and in used condition. Any insight is appreciated.

I would think in the$250-$300 range, less than that would be a steal, more I personally would not pay - You need submersible headphones to use it in the water, which is another $80 or so if the ones included are land headphones.

I used my land phones in Lake Tahoe but not under water.
Well yeah its possible, I usually detect where there is splashing going on, often go in up to my neck where its almost impossible to avoid getting the head wet, occasionally I'll leave everything floating in the water while I am doing something else [I rescue drowning bugs, for instance, scoop them up and take them back to shore and leave my detector, phones there so I know where I left off] so I'd ruin land phones quick.

Good on the sale, I just ended up donating my ATP to a great cause, but it is still sitting here because they have never picked it up, i had thought about posting it up for sale at a good price but I hate dealing with stuff like that, so it just sets here collecting dust, i may just post it up for free at some point and let someone pay the shipping, to get a free working AT Pro

@ oldkoot - I would definitely be interested, happy to pay postage to get a back up to my AT Pro. If you would like to PM me please do so, thank you!

This is for those that have been messaging me, and to you @LovestheShiny!: , I never said I was going to give my AT Pro to any one or sale it to any one, I said I had thought about it, The fact is I have donated my ATP to a worthy cause but they have yet to come and pick it up, I even offered to take it to the person if this would help, but was told to just hang onto it until I am contacted which has not happened as of yet.

if I decide to post it up for free to someone everyone will know about it or if I decide to sell it every one will know about, but rite now it is going to stay with me until I can get a hold of the people I have donated it to, I want them to have first shot at it, the cause I have donated it to is Terry Solomans Veterans cause, it is a worthy cause and again I am just waiting for Terry to contact me, I apologize but it is what it is, I am not one to donate something then turn around and just give it to someone else or sell it to someone else I have integrity, and it is what it is, it eats no food and cost me nothing to just let it set until Terry can get someone to pick it up, I throw batteries in it every once in a while just to make sure it is still functioning.

@ oldkoot - No problem at all, keeping your word to the Terry Solomans Veteran cause is most important. Just was interested as you wrote that you may end up posting it for free on the Forum. I hope they do follow thru and pick up your detector and that it benefits their fund raising, thank you!

I really would not call it a fund raiser

What that charity does is people donate detectors and other gear they have laying around and then Terry and his crew get those detectors and gear into the hands of Veterans that have PTSD and I am sure other ailments from being a veteran and then puts someone with that Veteran to teach them how to metal detect with the detectors that are donated, again for me personally this is a fantastic cause, and well worth the donation of a detector or gear from people that are not using that gear or detector

if anyone is interested I can provide a link to the organization that runs this great and admirable cause.

Thanks for thinking of us veterans.

Listed it on Craigslist for $285.00 at 5PM. Got an offer of $250 20 minutes later. Gonna take it. Means the Legend I bought off of Cherry Picker cost me $80 out of pocket!

A good deal. I always sell my current detector for a new one. Sold my AT Pro after using it for about 3 years and bought the 800. Sold the 800 1.5 years later and bought a brand new CTX3030 for $1,900 from a dealer who had a widow who wanted to sell it since her husband never opened the box. Sold the CTX3030 a year later (too heavy, but a really great detector) for my XP2. I think I will stick with the XP2 forever.
