Hello gents.
I spent 4 days in France and Belgium touring the military cemetery's of WWI this was mainly to pay respects to 3 great uncles who were brothers and were all killed. 2 of those brothers had gone to Canada in 1913 but enlisted into the Canadian army only 8 months later when WWI broke out and returned with the CEF in 1914. They joined up in a place called moose jaw, 2 are commemorated on the Menin gate as there bodies were never found so i visited that and one was buried near Arras and i visited his grave. I returned Saturday. Tonight i went out detecting for an hour. Few hits and pics will show usual rubbish.. 2 coins balder than Kojak, bits of tin, metal, led but one decent coin and a button.
Now it gets spooky...the coin is Canadian and the button is German from the Kreigsmarine in WWI !!! I have never found any foreign material and of course its only coincidence but still quite something in my opinion.

Thank you for your family's service!

Good point. Yes, you can actually put a name & place on finds like that, that could connect with your own lineage/past.

Thanks for the comments guys. Im sure theres something going on thats a whole level more than where we are at right now.
