I wish I was a bit closer to you, but I am in SC/SE IA and a good number of hours away. Nice to meet another Iowan on the site though. We have a couple others that are pretty active on the site.

I am originally from Cedar Rapids, but it was getting way to big for me, so I moved to a town of about 2600 people and to tell you th truth I have actually been able to research alot more hunting sights than back in the big city. HH

Your about an hour south of me , a little more, I would thing I.C. would be a great place to hunt. Cedar falls, and Waterloo have gotten where most the good spots are fenced off, but yesterday while cruising aroound, I noticed several areas which have been bull dozed to make way for new housing, Like they need it. I am shocked at the size of the homes going in, The average worker would never be able to afford them, just the morgage. Any idea;s as to where it would be good hunting int the midwest, within an hour of our area? smg

I live in Sioux City, I'm fairly new to the hobby, but pretty successful so far. This is something I've wanted to do since I was a kid and finally bought a detector (actually two of them).I think it would be cool to get together with someone else and share some ideas and spots.
