You may remember i posted about finally getting permission to detect on a bit of farmers land.
Very hard going and now to boggy to continue.
Little in the way of finds but i did remove about half a ton of old tin cans for the farmer !!
So a few musket balls of various sizes, some really rough old coins of which 2 are just identifiable one is a George 1 or 2 Irish halfpenny and the other a halfpenny but nothing else visible. Couple of shell casings, copper or brass sheet, front of a lock ( well half anyway ) big screw, few unidentifiable objects but the strangest item is a small piece of metal that when cleaned up had some words on it that were elevated and backwards so must of been for printing or stamping ??
