Today my aquarobo hookah scuba unit arrived out at my dad's in oklahoma. Really looking forward to testing it out in some clear water swimming holes.

Anyone use one in the salt yet? Trying to figure out how it would handle waves... anyone know if it is completely waterproof in case it gets swamped? For anyone interested, aquarobo is the chinese competitor to blu3's nemo and nomad at a fraction of the cost. $599 total. Ill report out w a review once i get out there later this summer.

Interested to see how it goes. The Nemo is a rip off at it's current price, but I'll give them one thing, it's pretty bullet proof. I've drowned my nemo a dozen times and it just keeps going. I suspect the cheaper chinese hookah's won't be so forgiving.

Looks like a pretty cool unit. Be very interested to see how it performs for you. As far as operating in larger waves you may be able to put it in a larger innertube for more stability. Don't know as I've never used one. Good luck. :waytogo:

I assume this is the kind where the compressor runs all the time?
The main innovation with the nemo is the way it turns on and off with your breath. This is good and bad, bad in that it creates noise and air hammer, good for battery life.

If this one can really provide 5 hours of dive time, comes with a hammer supressor, AND has an easy way to turn it off when I just want to wade. That would be very interesting

It is actually designed to turn off and on and i believe the soft hose exapands when turning on to absort the surge.

Ok, that would explain the long running time claims. Does the regulator have an on/off switch on it? It looks like an off the shelf regulator. The nemo has a switch on the side and there's a signal wire inside the hose that runs to it.
I might even sell my spare nemo if it can deal with the air hammer issue, as they noise is loud and hard to hear through underwater.

Definitely let us know how it works for you, I would not push the limits until you know it's true potential. I can't say I've ever even heard of this model, not that I'm an expert by any means. I bought a N3mo Christmas 2022 and got a free battery with it, so I'm not complaining. Biggest problem I have is finding time to use the damn thing. Good luck, looking forward to your updates!

I'm getting ready to buy this same one... how do you like it?

I had a nemo for awhile and it was useful to some extent but I found that lugging it around just became a pain at times and it was super loud for me. I prob did not give it the time to break it in but I figured if im going to dive I might as well just grab a tank.

For me the cons outweighed the pros and I felt like I had to baby the gear/batteries.
