Still at my 1940's bottle dump digging up old Coke and Yacht Club bottles. Dug up something unique the other day. Took me awhile to ID it, but it's an early 1900's Robinson Ransbottom bean pot. It's in very good shape, but I couldn't find the lid. It measures 4 1/2" tall and has mold seams on opposite sides. Very hard to see the maker's mark stamped into the bottom, but it's a crown, which is the Robinson Ransbottom hallmark.

Couldn't find the exact one on eBay or with a Google search, so I'm guessing it's an early one. The company was in business from 1900 to 2005, but all their bean pots from the 1930's up seem to be two color and have a blue crown hallmark stamped on the side. They also have one or two handles, but mine never had handles.

Not an amazing find. but pretty rare to find one in a dump that isn't cracked or damaged. Now if I can only find the lid...

Nice going Tim. Looks like a lot of glass in that dump. Be careful out there !

Hey, you coming to the MTHA hunt in October ? I posted the announcement about 10 days ago in the Clubs, Hunts and Events section.

I wear gloves, but did slice my finger pretty bad the other day. Cut right through leather gloves! Going to buy a better pair ASAP!

I'm probably on for that one! Haven't been since 2019, so I'm overdue. We'll see...
