I went to the local freshwater beach for a hunt on Monday morning. As many of you know, I have always just done the dry until this year. I'm not getting out into the wet with the 'Nox 600 up to just before submerging it. I've had some good luck in the wet with the best find being a sterling ring. Anyway, I've been hitting this beach about once every two weeks. Beaches around here just aren't busy enough to go more often. I was lucky enough to pull this Patrick Adair ring out of the dry sand on Monday. Initially, I had no idea of the value of the ring, having never found a Patrick Adair before. As pretty as it was and with the design inside, I was hoping it was better than your $10-20 run of the mill Walmart Stainless. Sure enough, after internet searching most of the day on Monday, I was able to find out what it was and that it was part of a wedding set that retails for $600. Sure wish it could be returned to the unlucky half of the couple it belonged to, but no other identifying marks other than the maker's mark. Anyway, just thought I'd put this out there if some of you aren't familiar with Patrick Adair stuff and either have or find a ring with his mark. He has a cool website and makes some great looking jewelry. Enjoy the pics and HH everyone!

I do love finding junk rings that I can resell, and I have never heard of them either, but if you get anywhere near $50 that would be great. Great find and best of luck if you sell it!

Good post & pics, enjoyed them and congrats again on your find ! :chaplin: :chaplin: :chaplin:

Thanks Felix! I'm still early enough on in my metal detecting adventure that I just can't part with anything yet. I want to get the bobbles out and look at them from time to time.:D
Very well done. :waytogo:
Thank you hoser, a surprise for sure!

cool but retail vs your resale are two VERY different prices..
Just wondering, have you sold any jewelry you've found resale? Wondering what you would consider as a good starting ask price if you have. I've never tried and am not currently considering selling anything I find. I do know half-price second-hand is often a good starting point.
