Got to Florida Friday for the winter.
Best thing is no snow.
Second best thing is thrice weekly quarter/dime poker game.
At the table yesterday one of the players lamented that he lost his retirement ring over the weekend while cleaning his gutters.

I volunteered to look for it today. He retired from GM and every five years he would get a tie tack with a little stone. When he retired he had all the stones mounted on this gold ring.
Have a new XP ORX but used the Simplex+ because of it's bigger coil and my familiarity with it
Set the sensitivity to two bars and found it in just a few minutes.

I tried to refuse a reward but he stuffed a twenty in my hand and said "you don't know how much this means to me".

Sitting at the donut shop right now spending the reward!

Even though it was a commissioned posse hunt, we will still allow you to become a member of the exclusive and elite "gold ring club". In fact, you get extra points for coming-to-the-rescue :)

Thank you Tom!
I do hope to find a gold ring on my own this year in Lake Michigan but I cannot turn down this offer of membership.
Do you get 30% of rewards for found gold?

No. But membership to the exclusive & elite gold-ring-club has a very difficult hazing ritual. So: Pay no attention to the 2-men in black trench coats, seen milling around in your driveway at midnight tonight.

Nothing to see there. Move along
