I have been looking at these for a while. I couldn't resist this price. Just came today. The reviews for this model are pretty good. Hopefully, it will provide detail to some of my mystery coins. It's also great for looking for errors. Set up was easy. The base seems a little flimsy.
I will post some detailed photos later. It's charging now.

I've been thinking about getting one of those too. That would be the best thing as my eyesight is not good as it used to be.

I've thought about getting something like that - looks like a great way to get close ups. Interesting to hear what you think of it.

I was using a good quality glass magnifier, then was amazed by how much better my phone magnifier works. Plus, with the phone magnifier, it's simple to take a picture.

I've got one with a 7" screen and 2 sets of lights. 1 in the magnifier, and then the arms.
It can take pictures or videos too.
I love it and shouldn't have waited so long to get it. No more slouching or bending over when cleaning coins and relics.
1200x with large 7" screen

Getting the right angle to get a clear, stable picture of the hallmark inside a ring is a pita without a good stage. A flat coin is a piece of cake most times. My phone certainly gets those pics easily.

Play doh is your friend here, it will hold the ring in place so you can use both hands to adjust the microscope (or phone). Don't need much, a 98 cent jar at wally world should dry up before using it all. I want to get myself a digital microscope eventually as well, there is MANY to choose from too.

I've been checking the microscopes out too but have yet to pull the trigger on one. I'll be looking for your photos and any comments you make about yours.

I haven't forgot. Just been busy. The detail is great. The LEDs are not adequate for everything. I will be supplementing with more lighting.

I have this same exact one. Kids got it for me for Christmas. It helps with the fine details.

I just bought one off of Amazon. One thing I was looking for was actual gears on the focusing system. I've had too many friction-only focusers fail in short order for me. I still have my 20x/40x microscope, but sometimes, I need magnification lower/higher than that.
