With, as John puts it, a new addition to my selection of detectors. A Troy Shadow X5 which I'm looking forward to trying out over the coming season.

Purdy huh?

Can't wait to try it out.

Nice variety you got there Scott. I think the X5 will treat you well. I had the X3 and liked it. But I always wish that I had bought the X5. Good luck

Nice looking detector! I'm going to have to get me a second unit!

Nice bunch of detectors there Scott, make sure you set the discrimination up to 10 when we hunt Gull Lake beach together,,hahahahaha H.H.:-)

Too funny Mike! That disc is sure different than my tesoro or diver or sov...man. The thing also runs unstable in the house, going to have to get it outside to play with it much. But, its a pretty simple set up so it shouldn't take too long to get the hang of operating it, then I can concentrate on learning the signals. Air tests in the house sure had my eyes popping though....

Hey scott keep us posted on how well you do with the x5. I've been talking to a couple guys that swing the x5 and it seems to do real good in hot soil.

I also like the idea of them being waterproof. 8)
