Best detector for gopher baskets

Hi, I need to find some gopher baskets buried in soil in my yard. Can anyone suggest a metal detector for this purpose? I am hoping to an inexpensive detector. Say under $100? I know you all are professionals. Hope I am not insulting you by asking this question. Mamal

First off welcome to the forum Ok do you have any idea how deep they would be? If shallow you can find them with most detectors out there right now. If you do decide you like what you are doing, you may want to go for a better machine now instead of realizing you wish you had gone with a better detector in the onset. Take it from experience, once bitten, twice shy. You WILL be hooked on detecting.

Probably any cheap detector will do. Only issue you'll come across going too cheap is it just alerting you to every mineral in the ground with no target id or discretion
