Forum member gcollins came down and we had a great time detecting today. Unfortunately we weren't able to find a whole lot. It looks like my silver drought continues. The best I could do was a tax token, old metal army man, a 1958 D wheat and a bunch of clad. No pics for these poor finds though, it's just not worth the effort  It was great to meet you Greg. You couldn't hunt with a friendlier person if you ask me

Hey Okie, a wheatie and a token isn't such a bad day. It could have been all pulltabs, lol! And you made a new friend too! It's good to see forum members getting together and hunting. Good job Okie and Gcollins!

Hey Okie, when you coming to England, give me a shout when you do,we can swing our machines together

I'll be there next week ;) But seriously, I would love to go to England and do some detecting with you. You think if we ask kindly enough they'll let us hunt Stonehenge or Hadrian's wall?

Oh, one other thing. I forgot that I also found a 1930 dog vaccination tag. That was kind of neat.

Well Okie ,considering i live 2 miles from Stonehenge i reckon they know me and are watching me at all times,so the stones are out im afraid

Re: It was a great day!

Hi Folks,
sorry it took me so long to post, been real busy since the hunt! Okie and I had a great time, meet a super fellow, he has a lovely wife, and his little girl is out of this world! My little boy turned 30 the other day and lives 3000 miles away, so meeting someone like Okie and his family made my day, everthing else that day was gravey!!!! Yes we didn't find much old stuff, I think that is why they call this hobby treasure hunting! Like they say:Life is what you make of it!
The most important things in this world: are family and friends, and I feel in my heart I have meet at new friend!!
Thanks for having me down Okie!
See Ya Greg
