Two of my sisters check the coinstars for me and last year although I only got one 64 Rosie they each got me one silver Rosie as well.
So today was the end of dry January and we called it wet Wednesday. We had our first happy hour (usually once a month ) of the year. We had Yuenglings and I made hot wings (Yings & Wings ). Then topped it off with a couple Old Fashions. The older of the two said did I tell you I found a silver Rosie and some wheaties for you. I said no and she pulled out a baggie full of coins and the first thing I saw was a quarter and ask if it was silver, she said I don't think so. I looked at the rim and said oh yeah thats silver. They know to check the dimes and pennies but don't give much thought to the larger coins. So a happy hour with a happy ending and I can add 2 more silvers to my chest. Another thing, I got 3 rolls of halfs at the credit union today but their still down in the truck, I forgot to bring them up, maybe something good in there as well. I'll check tomorrow. Mark

Nice silvers and wheats and the fact they check the reflect bins and bring you the spoils!

Is that bourbon a good sipping/flask whiskey? I’m not a liquor guy, but bought some Markers Mark to try some summer day around the campfire with a flask my wife got me got Christmas.

Nice silvers & wheats!
Thank you Wolf-Dog, gotta love free silver. Good luck. Mark

Yes sir GS I am lucky, my sisters have always been my big sisters and treat me like and still call me little brother. As far as the bourbon, great flavor, at 100 proof it does warm you a little but no burn. Good luck. Mark
Nice silver grabs.....and the Yings and Wings is good too.
Thank you D4C. Wednesday wings and yings for me have been around for quite a while. Good luck. Mark
Nothing better than wings and Yeungling lager

Steve
I agree Steve, the lager. And for me on tap is the best. I used to keep a 1/4 barrel on tap but the price of a keg is just too high these days. Good luck. Mark

Hey Mark, you have some great sisters! I like that tradition of Monthly Happy Hour!

Mark, those silvers are coming to you in more ways than one. And the easy comes are the best too. :p Speaking of Yuengling, have you ever been to their brewery in Pottsville, PA? I have done their tour a couple of times in the past, really neat old place to visit. In fact at the end of the tour they would give you a small beer taste sample too. Good luck with the halves too. John

Thank you Ron, yes I do. So us older guys grew up with the Leave it to Beaver model of the average American family life. In reality most families were dysfunctional to some degree if not completely. Not to blame the parents, they had just came through the most trying times of the 20th century. I would rate mine moderately dysfunctional. And with happy hour we talk about our upbringing, memories and how we saw things growing up. Its great therapy and entertaining to say the least. Hope you have a great year. Mark
Pizza and Steel Rail Ale is my favorite.......:beers: :chef2:
Oh yeah, can't beat a good ale with pizza. Ed, during lockdown I got into food porn on Youtube. I learned how to make pizza at home. What a mess ! But it was great. It only takes 6 minutes to bake the pizza but prep time and cleanup is about an hour and a half. I have learned to like the phrase "We Deliver " Enjoy
A Happy Hour goes better with Silver coins.. Nice!!

John its no secret, I'm a silver junky. I'll take em anyway I can get them. I have never been to Pottsville but I think thats something I would enjoy. I have been a fan of Yuengling for many years. And the fact that its a Pa family that did well with a great product and is still holding their own against the conglomerates that bought up most of the other major breweries is all the more reason I will continue to support them. And oh sh!t I forgot about the halves, thanks for reminding me. Take care pay. Mark

Good food, family bonding, and a touch of silver don't get any better than that. Everyone here keeps robbing my piggy bank.:rofl2: Haven't found a thing in the CS for a long time. Congrats to you.:clapping:

Congrats on the coinstar silvers. I am still waiting to find my first coinstar silver. I am still in that uncomfortable stage of just walking up and looking at the change return.

Thanks. Yes its great to have a little family time now that we're older. Back in the day we were so busy with our lives we would go for long periods of time without so much as a phone call. As far as coinstars they seem to find more than I do but then again they make alot more trips to the store. Good luck. Mark

Thanks aj keep checking you will find one sooner or later. No need to feel awkward everybody that knows about coinstars rejecting silver looks. If and when anybody gives me a look like I'm an old tightwad, I know I really don't need to explain myself but I'll usually smile and say I'm a coin collector and these machines reject the coins I collect. Since I've started looking I've gotten over a dozen silvers. Mostly dimes, this was my first GW that my sister found. However a couple years ago I did find a beautiful 43 Walker half and there was a silver Rosie in with that grab. So yeah keep looking. Good luck. Mark
