I had a couple of hunts already this year without any gold, but last Sunday’s hunt did score me an Apple iPhone14 so that was great. (I sold the last iPhone13 recently for $190 :gettinmoney:) . I was still looking for my 1st gold when I headed out yesterday at noon with NuBlu. On my way there, I saw the new cruise ship Miami has been abuzz about all week – the Icon of the Seas – the largest cruise ship in the world. It truly is a spectacular behemoth! When I got to the beach, it wasn’t as smooth as I was expecting, but it was still workable. An hour and a half into the hunt, all I had as far as good targets, were 3 pennies. I finally got a quarter and at the 1:45 hour into the hunt came the silver ring which I didn’t think much of. Now I thought "well this won't be my worst hunt of the year after all". At the 2-hour mark, I was still working the shore when I got a target. As I brought the scoop up :dingding:. 1st gold of 2024!!! :clapping: I hunted for a total of 4 hours and saw 5 other :pirates: so it was a bit busy. When I got to the car, I noticed that there was writing along the top of the silver ring - “BVLGARI”! After I saw that, I then thought the large stone might be an aquamarine. At home, I weighed the 10K ring and tested the diamonds and they test real. As far as the BVLGARI, after some research, I cannot find a single similar ring on-line and the silver work seems a little rough for a major high-end designer. The stone (or glass?) underneath is chipped in a corner as well. So I am leaning that its not a real. No matter, gold season 2024 is now open!

Nice finds! Looks like it's the year of the mens diamond rings for us. Probably a blue topaz, blvgari likes to use those. Searching "Bvlgari blue topaz cocktail ring" brings up some similar rings.

Oh, no you misunderstood a bit. I am very familiar with BVLGARI, I just can't find that they made that ring. The phone showed that it would charge at first and then it stopped. Now when you put it to charge It flashes. The iPhone 13 that I found about 2 weeks before, and sold, powered up with a cracked screen. Go figure.

I saw many of their silver (and gold) blue topaz rings. They all have a blue hue to them. This one leans to green. I thought their silver rings would have more than just "925" on the inside like the one that I found, but they don't. I just can't find the same ring out there on the internet. It doesn't mean its not a Bvlgari, but I've never been able to not find a ring on the internet that I've found detecting.

Maybe a vintage one or something. I searched for a few hours for a match to the mens diamond ring I found, can't find it anywhere lol.

Nice finds. Seems like more rings are fitting past the knuckles. Either the rings are growing or you are losing weight.

Congrats Felix! Keep em coming! ;)

Hey way to go Felix. Very nice piece of yellow and first for 2024. Great start. I have seen pics and stories of the ship. Man what a monster! For as impressive as it looks I wouldn't go on that thing at all. Too many people crammed in one place for this old dog. Well done my friend. :waytogo:
