Been a tough year getting out and detecting, I don't know why exactly but been too busy Drove by the lake a few days ago and was shocked at how much the water level has dropped since the last time I was there. The next day during lunch, I hit the 'free' 'beach' area. It's muck boot hunting where the water used to be, in sticky clay soil.
The good news is, got a 3.3ish gram 14k wedding band. Stamping on the inside is half warn off, so ti's been on someone's finger for awhile.
The next day I hit a different area and picked up the 'silver' turquoise/bear ring and an FG tungsten carbide 'junker'. Went back today, basically following the water down, found a busted iPhone (was hoping for some $ in the case - no luck) and four usable fishing lure/crankbaits. I'll hope to keep following the water out and see what more I can find. It's nice to have a place to go so close to my house again.
Anyway, happy hunting!
