The wife had to run some errands and asked if I wanted to ride along and she would drop me at the lake. I thought man is already almost 6 o'clock and it's a little cold. Was only 72 up here today. But then I thought nobody in there right mind is going to be swimming. I grabbed the xp deus 2 and away I went.
I dug everything that was repeatable tonight. First a clad dime then a few memorials. I was only out about knee deep as I was a little leary of getting much deeper. A boat went by kicked up some waves. Yep I was balls deep lol. So I poked around and got an 89 TID. I figured another dime. This time it was a 1929 d wheat. Then a couple bullet fragments later I got a 91. Maybe a silver dime? I dug 3 scoops down and pulled out the tiniest silver ring I ever saw! My night was made. Then I dug some mod tones pull tabs and scrap. Then I got this weird dog figurine. Maybe a crackerjack toy? I don't really know for sure. I worked my way out about chest deep as that's the magic spit for rings. I got a 66 TID scooped twice and plopped it up on my homemade floating sifter. I saw something yellow and shiny. I thought no way that's going to be real! I rinsed off yet another tiny ring. It sure looked like gold! There were some markings that were nearly worn off. ( tested at home with acid test 14k!!). After that o kept working around getting clad and junk. Then as my wife pulls up to get me I get a 68. I yelled to her ill be right there I just have to dig this last ring jokingly. I scooped one and plopped it on the sifter and there was my first ever tungsten shiny ring!
What a day! Sometimes the quick hunts are the best ones!!
