A rather late round-up to be sure, but September produced a group of notable goodies!
The day that produced my 50th silver coin recovery for the year, a 1964 D Washington, also produced $1 face in silver, including a 1939 Washington (dug back-to-back with the '64) and a 1945 Walker. It was a truely stupendous day and one that will stick in my memory for a long time.
I love the details on the 1920 D Merc, it's one of my favorites I've ever been able to find.
28 Wheats (eight of which came from one hole) were also recovered in September, along with two Sterling Catholic charms and a Play Nickel.
Enjoy the in-situs! The wood flavor of the month is African Mahogany.
