Only in the philippines

Did your brother- in -law come at the same time this year ? You should post a picture some time with both of you and your wifes together. Do they stay at your house there or do they have their own place there ?

NO THEY DON;T live with us, thank god.. They mostly live here most of the time, Year round. They have their own home. After we built our house , and they seen how big it is, a few years later they had to rebuild their house bigger. Well, good for them.

KEN :D

philippines families

NO,,,, Everyone hates him and his wife. They both know more than any else. And it has to ALWAYS be their way or it is one big family fight. Right now they are not talking to anyone in the family.

KEN :D

Nothing like a grudge between families in the Philippines they can go years with out speaking. My wife got in a disagreement over ten years ago with a aunt and still don't speak. They never think they are wrong and rarely say they are sorry.

tea truck

Well, what do you know about that.

I have my own TEA truck..

I wonder if MUD knows his glasses are on up side down..

KEN :D

Who knows you might start growing that grass over here and selling it when you get back. I bet a number of people on here would try it, to lower their blood pressure.:laughing:

I figured they might have a house close to your house if they have a lot of relatives in the area. There is a lot of competition to one up the next person in houses , clothes , & cars . The showoff ones are usally the ones who have the least on their own , the money all comes from relatives and kids working hard overseas so they can live that high style.

Yeah Ken, looks like you're getting in all kinds of businesses, Jeepney metal detecting tours, delivering for Jolibees, skydiving detecting tours, Tea truck business, a real "Jack of all trades":laughing::laughing:

.....just be sure to have a caution label on the tea warning people drinking too much of it can lower their blood pressure much too low !

Kens big Philippines adventure

Well Kens vacation is almost over, i think he is Leaving Monday so less than a week left , before he has to come back to real regular life here in the states. I think a lot of people on here have enjoyed his pictures , stories ,& views of life over there in the Philippines. It has helped us pass the time during the winter weather and not being able to spend time outside. Hopefully he will not come home to snow on the ground. Thank you Ken for sharing your vacation with us .:tropical:

I would like to thank all of you for making this trip fun. Most years my wife and I travel different places. I only have a small car. But it gets us places. This year with my condition and wearing an eye patch, Made things a little hard to do. I didn't even start the car. I did not do any little projects in the garage. I just could not see good enough to do much of anything. At times it was very hard for me to read on here. Than it was very hard to type. I just took one day at a time. Thank GOD you guys were their with me all the way. I have had a blast. Now it is time to get back home to Decatur, Indiana. Still have internet left, so I will be here till it runs out.
Thank you all. KEN :D

I think we all have been having a good time with your post , hopefully your health will be better this fall when you plan to go back to the Philippines. We will expect to see a update at that time about the house with a tree inside , progress can be very slow there so it could be years before they have money to finish it ,so it could be a long running thread. Keep checking in as long as your data card allows , may be you will be able to get on line at one of the airports that offer free WIFI . Glad we have been able to help you pass the time on this trip, while you really couldn't get out that much or metal detect. Gives you some thing to look forward to next trip as well as all those little projects you normally do around the house repairing things.

I tell you what Ken!! We all had a Blast! Makes a guy want to go on over with you next season! Hey, I'd help you around the house and carry your bags even! Boil up a big platter of Balut, help the neighbors build their house, etc!...

Take pics and document your adventure! ...Would that be a hoot or what! Well, get home safe, and I hope you heal up! Maybe I'll come down to Indiana this Summer and we can go on a totlot ransack! I've got the house for sale again this year...hopefully it will move fast and I will be free in the World...thats a scary thought!

A free to roam Mud-puppy now that is a scary thought look out world , I am sure Ken would be glad to have you over there to share a adventure with him. There are endless places to explore over there , over 7,000 islands , buried Japanese treasure to be found, cheep cold beer, beautiful women , Very old churches and government buildings. Lots of ship wreaks for those that dive , and battle fields and Corregidor to explore. A guy could spend years there and not see and do every thing.:detector::digginahole::workforgold:

....it'd been nice if it was possible to have a live feed web cam pointed at the "tree" house so we could keep monitoring any progress

:laughing: ...We have the house on the market, with a showing this afternoon...fingers crossed! If it sells, The Wife and I plan on going on a MegaTransect..She would like to go hunt for gems and rocks in various places like those Ruby quarries in the Carolinas, that one diamond mine in AR...fossils, maybe some gold hunting in the Black Hills or Idaho, Tourmalines and Turquoise, etc...

Of course, I'd be Detecting all over the place! First stop will be at my Brothers who has a house adjoining Gettysburg! Maybe finally show up at some sanctioned Hunts even! It might just work out where I get to meet you Friends in actual Person! Yeah!...That would make for some fun postings to get us through the Summer! "Adventure awaits a fellow once he gets out of the house!"
