The MyTrashyPark program I created for hunting detecting really trashy parks with the XP2 for coins. Especially silver coins. It is based on the Xp2 mono program running single frequency of 4.4 mHz.

I hunt a park that has been in use since 1900 on the Chattahoochee river in Atlanta and it is super trashy with foil, can slaw, pull tabs and pop tops. I learned to tame this park with the 800 by switching to 5 mHz.

I get the same results on the XP2 by switching to Deus Mono and selecting 4.4 mHz and making the following changes:

Set the frequency to 4.4 mHz
Changed to Full Tones
Audio Type is changed to square
Bumped up Audio Response to 5

I always use my XP Deus II WSAII-XL wireless headphones. This helps drown out the leaf blowers and lawn mowers and allows me to hear the tone differences better.

With these settings the XP2 tends to give a lower pitched fluty tone to aluminum trash. On coins and especially silver coins the XP2 gives a distinct higher pitched tone and a nice clearer popping tone for coin targets.

One problem is modern bottle caps, which give a good clear signal like a coin and TID of 98. This is because the bottle cap mode does not work on single frequency. On older rusted bottle caps they tend to give lower pitched tones and somewhat fluty or broken tones.

Nice job on your recent relic find.

You could always build you adjacent DHC program with bottle cap. And check some of the higher ID signals gotten using your setup. Just takes a second. Faster done with remote vs WS6 though.

I'll give that a try. It probably should work with a 14 mhz freq. I have never used my WS6. Thanks for the tip. This is how I learn the best from other experienced users.
