I am 64 and recently retired, I now dig full time and I am based in North adams Mass. I do a LOT of bushwhacking! Would love to find some people who do the same are up for a multiple mile days in the woods, and can share with research and sites. I am open to pvt permissions as well, but primarily I hunt public, open spaces, conservations areas and land trusts.

Hello I also enjoy the bushwhacking side of this hobby. I primarily use LiDAR to hunt state forests for cellar holes. Recently I’ve been in south west mass hunting cellar holes. I’d be happy to join you on a treck!

Sounds like a plan! The far south west corner looks like it will be opening up soon barring a big storm

I would be up for that, I am on the tri- state corner, RI, Mass, Conn. I do the same kind of hunting. Hiked the Long Trail recently and finished in North Adams.

I live in North Adams, right at the base of Eagle Pass. Was just looking at the maps around the Tyringham area .... I have a lot of sites pinned in the area but a lot of them are gated off this time of year.Me you and RSdetecting should could get together for a hunt

What are you using for mass LiDAR?

HOPEFULLY WE CAN START PLANNING SOME THING SOON!
You mentioned Tyringham. Are these sites you have pinned along the Appalachian Trail? I’ve hiked through this area many times I wonder if I’ve seen them 🤔
Send me a message if you’d like to exchange contact info so we can organize something.

You got me!! But I absolutely do not hunt in the "corridor". Did a small group hunt there a couple of years ago a friend pulled a Nova Constellation and we dug a crap load of cannon friction primers. I am going to reach to every one here soon. and see if we can exchange emails and phone numbers and set some hunts up...
